Trulia Facebook Messenger bot can find you an apartment to rent
Real estate listing company Trulia brought its bot to Facebook Messenger today.

Although the company may be best known for listing property for sale, the Trulia bot will now begin handling rentals, as well.

All you have to do is tell the bot where you want to live, your price range, and the square footage you’re looking for, and it will share the 10 most recent search results that fit that criteria. If you request daily updates, you’ll receive the top 10 most recent search results every morning at 9 a.m.

Each listing can be viewed in a web browser or as a summary in Messenger — with details including the rental address, neighborhood info, the price, number of beds and baths, and a photo gallery.

Of course, you could also access most of that information with an email subscription or app, but things get more interesting when you start asking Trulia bot questions about the characteristics of the neighborhood surrounding a property.

Trulia bot Local Info

Trulia bot can tell you demographic details about a neighborhood like the median age of residents, the number of people who are single and married, and the number of renter-occupied or owner-occupied homes in the area.

Purchased in 2014 for $3.5 billion, Trulia is part of the Zillow Group, one of the largest home listing companies in the United States.
